CSA is proud to present the following speakers:
  1. Ed Rios
    8:45-9:45am Keynote Speaker: Ed Rios - CEO - National CyberSecurity Center
    Ed was recently appointed as CEO of the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC). Rios is founder, CEO and president of CyberSpace Operations Consulting Inc., that specializes in moving new technical innovations into national security operations for cyber, intelligence and space programs in government and the private sector through 20 consultants, including 17 retired generals. The company's clients include many of the nation's largest defense contractors as well as Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (Space-X) and several satellite contractors. A retired Air Force colonel, Rios spent 26 years in special technical, space and intelligence operations, special mission sea duty and flight operations with three deployments. Rios received a master's degree in business administration, completed graduate work at Harvard and Washington universities and had a fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
  2. Director, Security Architecture State of Colorado - Governor's OIT
    Panelist 3:20-4:30pm - Mohamed Malki - Director, Security Architecture - State of Colorado
    Mohamed Malki is a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) , ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional Certified (CCSP) , PMP, CISA, CISM,HITRUST, HIPAA Certified Professional, ISO/IEC27001 Lead Audit, ISSEP-CISSP, and TOGAF. Mohamed is the director of security architecture and provides Information Security leadership within OIT and the industries with over 20 years IT experience of which 15 years in Information Security. Mohamed unique capability and skill is to integrate the information security and project management practices to deliver a secure and usable solutions which is often very difficult. Mohamed Graduated from Algerian Institute of telecommunication and Seoul national University with master degrees. Mohamed is Fluent in French, Arabic, English, and proficient level in Korean.
  3. Tech Track 10-11am - Tabish Tanzeem - Senior Engineer - Computer Associates
    Tabish Tanzeem is a senior consultant in the Security business area at CA Technologies. He specializes in customer challenges around authentication, authorization and privileged management. He has more than 14 years of experience in this domain. He has a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University in Management Information System Security and holds an active CISSP certification.
  4. Certification Track 10-11am - Scott Hogg - CTO - Global Technology Resources Inc (GTRI)
    Scott Hogg, CCIE #5133, CISSP #4610, is the CTO for Global Technology Resources, Inc. (GTRI). Scott helps organizations leverage cloud services securely and possess the CCSK and CCSP cloud security certifications. Scott also actively works on SDN security and network programmability and has formed the Denver Network Programmability User Group (NPUG) chapter. Scott is a founding member of the Rocky Mountain IPv6 Task Force (RMv6TF), and a member of the Infoblox IPv6 Center of Excellence (COE). Scott has authored the Cisco Press book on IPv6 Security and writes for NetworkWorld.com
  5. Business Track 11-12pm - Sami Laine - Principal Technologist - CloudPassage
    Sami Laine is a Principal Technologist at CloudPassage. In the last 17 years in the internet security industry at CyberSource, PassMark Security and RSA, he has helped some of the world's largest payment processors, retailers, banks, brokerages and enterprises fight fraud, malware and web threats and is now focused on helping companies embrace agile security practices.
  6. Tech Track 11-12pm- Andrew Usekas - CTO - Threat X
    Andrew has a varied career ranging from ethical hacking, penetration testing and security product development for the US Department of Defense, senior consulting positions for fortune 500 enterprises, and corporate CISO responsibilities for large enterprises. Andrew has an exceptional blend of software development skills combined with extensive knowledge and experience of the network and security industries.
  7. Certification Prep Track 11-12pm - Tony Noblett - Owner - Socair
    vCISO & Security Architect - Experienced CISO and Cyber Security professional currently performing interim CISO engagements in retail, healthcare, manufacturing and technology companies.
  8. Business Track 1-2pm - Sloane Stricker - VP Global Operations & Infrastructure - Global Health Exchange (GHX)
    Sloane manages a global enterprise industry-leading SaaS based supply chain automation solutions with cloud-hybrid based software, infrastructure, security and services resulting in more efficient, cost effective and accurate systems/processes
  9. Tech Track 1-2pm - Davitt Potter - Director, Global Engineering & Technical Services - Arrow ECS Security
    Davitt is an engineering manager for strategic business discussions, technical thought leadership, and enabling partners, suppliers, and employees at Arrow Electronics.
  10. Certification Prep Track 1-2pm - Steve Kosten - Partner - Cypress Data Defense
    Steve is well-known in the local InfoSec community and is the OWASP Chapter President. He has intimate knowledge and experience in web application security testing, performing both static and dynamic assessments of web applications. He is a SANS instructor for Secure Coding in Java/JEE (SANS541), has DoD Top Secret and SCI Top Secret with CI Polygraph clearances.
  11. Business Track 2:20-3:20pm - Scott Gerlach - Sr. Information Security Architect - Sendgrid
    Scott Gerlach runs the Information Security team at SendGrid, the worlds leading email SaaS company. He's currently working on keeping the platform secure and scaleable for it's customers. Previous to SendGrid, Scott spent almost 10 years running Information Security teams at GoDaddy. He's run the SOC, Engineering, and Customer facing departments and understands that there is no perfect system and rather spends time working on optimal systems for business needs. Scott is one of two named inventor on a patent for a DDoS detection/mitigation system that helped GoDaddy identify and mitigate Denial of Service attacks within 30 seconds of their start.
  12. Tech Track 2:20-3:20pm - Larry Whiteside - VP Healthcare & Critical Infrastructure Executive Solutions - Optiv
    Whiteside focuses on helping security executives in these focus areas develop a comprehensive security program that balances risk and aligns with the overall business goals. He is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive suite of strategic services and solutions to help executives improve their security strategies through innovation. Whiteside also is co-founder and executive vice president of the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP). He served as chief, information warfare/network security divisions and chief, network security division – single agency manager for the Air Force at the Pentagon. In recognition for his achievements, Whiteside received the Company Grade Officer of the Year award for his units in 1997 and 2000, and a nomination for the National Information Security Executive of the Year in 2009 and 2010. Whiteside received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science at Huston-Tillotson University.
  13. Certificatiion Track 2:20-3:20pm - Shawn Harris - Senior Security Engineer - Starz
    Shawn Harris is an IT Security Professional with more than 20 years of IT Architecture and Management experience. Previously, Shawn was responsible for all FISMA security plans for the NASA Integrated Services Network as well as the certification and accreditation packages for Human Spaceflight programs maintained by Draper Lab Space Simulation Systems. He was instrumental in developing the original CCSP certification, which was developed as a collaborative effort between ISC2 and the CSA. Shawn continues to contribute at CCSP test item writing workshops, additionally, he serves as lead on the CISSP and ISSAP volunteer exam test item writing team. Shawn is a member of the NIST Cloud Computing Security working group as well as the Big Data and Privacy working group. He currently serves as a Senior Engineer for the Starz Entertainment Security, Architecture and Solutions group.
  14. Panel Moderator 3:20-4:30pm - Matt Schufeldt - Business Information Security Officer - Trizetto
    Matt Shufeldt is an active leader in the Information Security community and the Business Information Security Officer at TriZetto. He has been working professionally in technology for over two decades and is a passionate technologist and process geek. Matt's greatest professional passions are Info/Cyber Security, continuous learning and being the best leader he can be.
  15. Panelist 3:20-4:30pm - Merlin Namuth - Director - Standards, Risk, Compliance & Security - Red Robin
    Merlin Namuth is the Director of Standards, Risk, Compliance, and Security at Red Robin. In this role he leads the information security program for the company. Namuth has over 21 years of IT experience with the last 18 years focused in security. He has held positions in management, incident response and engineering. His experience in security comprises of building and running security programs, managing incident response teams, program and project management, computer forensics, compliance, and architecture and engineering complex security solutions. He holds the PMP, CISSP, GCFA and GCIH certifications and recently completed a Master’s degree in finance.
  16. Panelist 3:20-4:30pm - Andrew Labbo - CISO - Denver Health Hospital Authority
    Andrew Labbo is the Chief Information Security Officer at Denver Health Hospital Authority in Denver, Colorado. He has 16 years of Information Technology and Information Security experience and 10 years work experience in health care as both an Information Security Officer and Privacy Officer. Andrew has a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Health Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Mr. Labbo has been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2004.
  17. Business Track 10-11am - Ram Ramados VP CRP Privacy and Information Security & EHR Oversight - Catholic Health
    Ram is responsible for Privacy and Information Security Oversight and EHR Compliance program, as well as providing privacy support and information security oversight for Prominence Health Plan (a subsidiary of CHI). Ram provides direction in identifying integration opportunities between privacy and security functions at CHI. Ram has 26 years of experience with specialization in information technology architecture, auditing, information security, privacy and international data protection, he has developed a unique skill set which has enabled CHI to make advancements in the privacy and information security areas.
